5:00 PM ET 2025-01-09: Blue Ocean ATS closed for the January 9th Session to Observe National Day of Mourning for President Jimmy Carter
Due to the passing of former President Jimmy Carter, US National Market System trading venues including Blue Ocean ATS will observe a National Day of Mourning on Thursday, January 9th, 2025.
Markets will therefore not be opening on Wednesday, January 8th at 8 PM ET.
The next trading session will be Thursday January 9th 8 PM ET to 4 AM ET Friday January 10th.
3:30 PM ET 2024-12-30: YINN and YANG Disabled on Blue Ocean ATS during January 2025
For the month of January 2025, Blue Ocean ATS will disable trading in symbol YINN and Yang subject to applicable SEC Regulation ATS’ Fair Access.

5:30 PM ET 2024-12-03: YINN Re-enabled for Trading Starting 2024-12-04 Session
Blue Ocean ATS will enable YINN for trading going forward subject to applicable SEC Regulation ATS’ Fair Access Rule.
2:00 PM ET 2024-11-15: Halt in Symbol YINN Through December 2024
In alignment with the regulatory compliance obligations under SEC Regulation ATS’ Fair Access Rule, BOATS has suspended trading in symbol YINN.
As per our publicly available Form ATS-N, BOATS reserves the right to suspend trading in NMS Stocks, including those approaching SEC Regulation ATS’ Fair Access Rule. Ensuring its compliance and obligations with the rule, YINN has been halted through December 2024.
2:00 PM ET 2024-11-04: Blue Ocean ATS Operations During US Presidential Elections
Blue Ocean ATS will be operating a normal overnight session November 6th session (8:00PM ET November 5th to 4:00 AM ET November 6th).
In anticipation of potential fast-moving markets caused by the US Presidential election on the Blue Ocean ATS occurring during this session, we will be concentrating all available resources on production trading for November 6th and the remainder of this week, as necessary.
Blue Ocean will not be processing any new accounts onboarding or completing any conformance testing during this period. Additional operations and support resources will be actively monitoring the Blue Ocean ATS systems, and available for client contact as needed.
